Surgery Number Four

I honestly admit that I have not done a great job of maintaining this blog regularly, so my apologies are upfront.

On Thursday of week Ashton went in for a check up from his third surgery where we discovered the sutures from surgery number three have not dissolved. In-fact, they are infected and causing scar tissue on his right eye.

So, we are scheduled with another doctor, because ours is out of town, to have them removed tomorrow at 10 a.m. The good news is this will be a less extensive procedure with hopefully no patch and less eye drops.

Unfortunately, he will have to be put under general anesthesia for this to be done. Ashton really does not like the IVs or us not being able to be in the operating room with him. He has a lot of anxiety surrounding the surgery centers and there is no way for us to protect him from this tomorrow.

Our plan is to wait until tomorrow morning to tell him so he can get some rest tonight and process before we arrive.

Please pray for peace for Ashton, Philllip and myself. Our hope is for a safe surgery and positive results.

Thank you for your prayers for our family.

Philippians 4:6-7 Msg
Don't fret or worry. Instead of worring, pray. Let petitions and praise shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
